How the plan works

Saral Jeevan Bima is a standard pure term plan. You choose the sum assured, policy term and premium payment option. If the life assured dies during the term (subject to the 45-day waiting period rule below), the nominee receives the death benefit in a lump sum. Nothing is paid if the life assured survives the term. It can be bought from agents and other intermediaries or online at www.licindia.in.

  • Single premium: higher of 125% of the single premium or the Basic Sum Assured.

Maturity benefit

No maturity benefit is payable if the life assured survives to the end of the policy term.
